Job Overview
The Practice Management Coordinator supports the Litigation Practice Director, Litigation Department Heads, and Practice Group Leaders in advancing strategic and business objectives. The Practice Management Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the business operations for assigned practice groups.
This role has a hybrid working arrangement. Potential candidates must live within commuting distance of our Philadelphia, New York, or Washington, DC office to be onsite 3 days per week. In this role, you will report to the Practice Management Director for the firm’s litigation department and practice groups.
Essential Functions
– Practice Group Alignment – Under supervision of a Director or Manager, assumes responsibilities for projects and ongoing business processes for specific practice group(s) as assigned.
– Business Planning – Assists the Director, Department Head and Practice Group Leaders in development and implementation of the annual Business Plans. Monitors and reports on the progress of each plan on a regular basis.
– Budgeting and Financial Management – Assists in preparing annual operating budgets of the Department Practice Groups and monitors revenue, expenses and utilization. Produces ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
– Communications – Assists the Department Head, Practice Group Leaders and Directors in coordinating logistics, preparing agendas and materials for Department and Practice Group meetings. Plans and supports other Departments and Practice Groups events. Assists in communication between the Departments and Practice Groups.
– Provides other operational and administrative support for the Director, Department Heads, and other Practice Group Leaders as assigned including meeting logistics (including coordinating agendas, reserving conference rooms and coordinating hospitality), working closely with attorneys and professional staff on aligning department objectives and preparing for updates at practice group meetings.
– Other duties that support Practice Group Team initiatives.
– Administrative Coordination – Collaborates with Administrative teams including Human Resources, Professional Development, Marketing, Library and Technology to advance practice group needs.
– Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
– Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.

Skills/Qualifications
– 2+ years of practice management experience or experience coordinating corporate meetings and events preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Experience in a legal environment or professional services preferred.
– Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to develop positive working relationships (in-person and virtually).
– Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills.
– Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
– Unquestioned integrity and professionalism.
– Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), specifically strong skills with Excel using pivot tables.
– Proficient in using industry databases such as Chrome River, Clarity, InterAction, and Carpe Diem preferred.
– Proficient in web-based conference call/web-sharing applications.
– Ability to travel to other offices periodically as needed.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $60,000 – $75,000. Actual salaries will depend on a candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of Blank Rome’s total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
