We are looking for a Professional Development CLE Compliance Coordinator to join an incredible team focused on the legal training and development of all lawyers across offices and practice groups. The Assistant will work closely with the firm’s CLE Compliance Specialist, and will focus on supporting compliance with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements and attorney registration renewals, as well as supporting overall Department logistical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry into the firm’s compliance database, CE Manager.
  • Monitor the firm’s attorney registration statuses and CLE requirements, and maintain CLE compliance tracking records:

o   Respond to routine attorney inquiries regarding CLE credit totals/updates/deadlines and license renewal registration information

o   Prepare CLE extension applications and follow up when needed

o   Ensure the CLE compliance database and tracking charts accurately reflects attorney arrivals and  departures

o   Troubleshoot credit/database issues with the CLE Compliance Specialist

  •       Assist attorneys in fulfilling CLE requirements by supporting CLE Specialist with compiling program options and confirming all recent credits have been imported.
  •       Assist PD coordinators with the input of internal and external course and credit information in CE Manager. Create CLE forms for in-house and client programs.
  •       Support the PD Department with other programming and logistical coordination.

Qualifications – External

Background:

  •         Strong administrative experience.
  •         Prior experience in law firm or other professional services firm a plus.
  •         CLE compliance knowledge and experience with learning management systems is an added plus. Our existing team will train the Assistant on all needed knowledge.

Skills/Strengths:

  •         Team player who works collaboratively.
  •         Strong technical and computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
  •         Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Candidate must produce work that is accurate and precise, must follow up regularly and appropriately, and must be able to prioritize workload, multitask and work well under pressure.
  •          Client services orientation, including ability to work well with a team and effectively interface with lawyers at all levels and Operational staff.
  •          Motivated and proactive. Takes initiative and eager to take ownership. Highly responsive.

Salary:

$65,000 – $82,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.  The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
