General Purpose:
The Professional Development Coordinator helps to coordinate, facilitate, develop, and maintain the activities of the Professional Development programs for attorneys, summer clerks, patent professionals, and paralegals. This includes supporting the firm’s performance review processes for annual, mid-year, and real-time reviews, as well as coordinating summer clerk evaluations. The role also assists with planning and implementing professional development and training programs, coordinating room and technical arrangements, tracking participation, and maintaining program information. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage other professional development initiatives such as mentoring and supervisory programs, participate in firm committees, and compile data for various surveys and reports.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Supports the activities for the annual attorney, paralegal, and patent professional performance review processes, including soliciting self-evaluation forms, preparing and distributing online evaluation forms, compiling evaluation comments, distributing comments to supervising attorneys, preparing Evaluation Teams’ and Paralegal Committee Chair’s meeting materials; and otherwise implements changes in procedure and process as directed.
Coordinates other types of performance review processes, such as mid-year, real-time reviews, and summer clerk evaluations.
Assists in planning and implementing attorney and paralegal professional development and/or training programs/events, including but not limited to making necessary room reservations, arranging video-conferencing or audio-conferencing capabilities, sending invitations to attorneys and/or paralegals, inviting and confirming speakers, arranging for necessary CLE credits, tracking participation in electronic or hard-copy format, and uploading and maintaining program information on firm portal for download or viewing by attorneys and paralegals.
Coordinates any other professional development related initiatives, which may include mentoring program, supervisory program, and individualized attorney professional development plan initiative.
Participates with firm committees and groups on various projects, may create and maintain firm resources related to committee and groups.
Compiles data and prepare reports as requested in order to respond to attorney surveys, client surveys, external surveys, and internal periodic reports.
Provides support for all special projects, as requested, to drive to the vision, fulfil the mission and abide by the values of the organization.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
Two (2) years of professional development work experience in law firms, law schools, or other professional services organizations
Excellent interpersonal skills and attitude.
Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to effectively meet deadlines.
Experience coordinating programs for multi-office locations.
Excellent computer and software skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Preferred experience with viRecruit, viDesktop, and UKG
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment:

Schedule:
At this time, this position allows for a hybrid schedule and in-office days are expected to be Mondays and Thursdays, with flexibility to switch days as needed with approval. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office days requirement.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Colorado Salary Range is $24.21 - $40.36 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
