Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Talent Coordinator. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Chicago; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County; Portland; Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica; Seattle; Washington DC; or Wheeling, WV).

The Talent Coordinator will work with the Lawyer Development department to provide technical and administrative support.

Responsibilities:

Performance Management:
-Provide general assistance with annual attorney review process, including assisting with preparation for Professional Development Committee meetings.
-Help coordinate and oversee the generation, assembly and distribution of reports and materials related to the review processes.
-Assist in dissemination of final reviews and track delivery of all reviews.
-Become an expert in review software.

Training Programs, Practice Group Retreats, and New Associate Orientation:
-Support efforts related to running firmwide trainings for both attorneys and staff, including logistics, collection and distribution of materials, training room and technology set-up, electronic reminders, catering needs and attendance tracking.
-Assist with preparation of PowerPoint presentations and materials.
-Support CLE team, including data entry.
-Become an expert in training and CLE tracking software, including Learn@Orrick and CLESite

Innovation Initiatives:
-Assist with Residency including scheduling orientation, trainings, Residency Reunion, and monthly 1:1s.
-Analyze and report re: how first years are spending Residency Hours (i.e. substantive work vs. business development vs. training/coaching)

General Support:
-Help maintain and update all Lawyer Development and Firm policies related to lawyers on portal, attorney handbook, and partner portal site.
-Help keep LD portal page and Sharepoint up to date.
-Help set-up and maintain Teams Channels for various initiatives.
-Work closely with data analytics team members to run and update spreadsheets and compile data to generate and distribute confidential reports relating to associate and of counsel compensation and bonuses.
-Become skilled in pulling data from eReports, PeopleSoft and PowerBI database.
-Assist in answering inquiries from attorney and administration staff regarding attorney performance and utilization.
-Engage in research on market data (and other various subjects) and routinely prepare excel spreadsheets documenting/tracking results.
-Assist with other talent-related projects as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is:
-California Major Markets* $53,000 - $74,000
-New York City $57,000 - $74,000
-National $50,000 - $64,000
* California Major Markets includes San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within National range.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrickā€™s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
