Kendra Brodin
Kendra Brodin, Esq., MSW is the Founder & CEO of EsquireWell, a leading legal well-being and performance consulting firm built on a simple but powerful truth: when lawyers and legal professionals thrive as human beings, they thrive in their careers. At the heart of EsquireWell’s work is a proprietary framework that integrates emotional intelligence, well-being, and leadership development, a powerful combination designed specifically for the unique demands and culture of the legal profession.
With a rare combination of a law degree from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, and over 20 years of experience working inside law firms and law schools, Kendra brings both the “people” side and the “business” side of the law to everything she does. She doesn’t just understand the pressures lawyers and legal professionals face – she’s lived them, studied them, and built her career around solving them.
Kendra is a sought-after speaker, consultant, and certified coach who partners with law firms, legal departments, and law schools of all sizes to cultivate cultures where well-being, emotional intelligence, and leadership aren’t afterthoughts; they’re the foundation.
Her work weaves together the professional skills, mindset, and human capabilities that help lawyers and legal professionals perform at their very best. She teaches “Well-Being and Professional Formation” at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, and her work spans education, strategic guidance, coaching, and online learning tools tailored specifically for the legal profession.
Before founding EsquireWell, Kendra held leadership roles across every corner of the legal industry, including serving as Director of Career and Professional Development at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, Managing Director of an elite legal recruiting and staffing firm, and Manager of Business Development at an intellectual property law firm, before stepping into her most senior role as Chief Attorney Development Officer at a large national law firm, where she led firm-wide training, development, and well-being initiatives.
Driven by a vision of a legal profession built on sustainable success and genuine well-being, Kendra serves as a Past-President and current Advisory Board Member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, a Board Director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers of Minnesota, and chair of the steering committee for the Institute for Leadership in the Legal Profession through the Hennepin County Bar Association along with serving on several local and national committees united by a focus on helping those in the legal profession thrive.
Kendra is on a mission to change the culture of law from the inside out – one lawyer, one legal professional, one organization, and one conversation at a time.
